“High-Speed Chase Ends Dramatically as Teenagers Crash Stolen Car into Saint-Henri Convenience Store”

Montreal police reported that a group of six teenagers, involved in a crime incident, crashed a Communauto vehicle into a convenience store in the Saint-Henri neighborhood on Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to a disturbance at the junction of De Courcelle and Dagenais streets around 10:15 a.m., which involved multiple individuals and at least one armed with a knife.

Upon police arrival, the teens attempted to escape in a Communauto but promptly collided with the storefront of a nearby convenience store.

After the crash, the suspects tried to flee on foot, with law enforcement successfully apprehending five of them. The sixth suspect is still evading capture.

One of the teenagers sustained minor injuries from the collision and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Fortunately, the worker present inside the convenience store during the incident remained unharmed.

The building incurred substantial damage as a result of the impact.

A section of De Courcelle Street was shut down to traffic while authorities conducted an investigation and firefighters evaluated the structural integrity of the damaged building.

The police inquiry into the matter continues.
