“Massive Drug and Weapons Bust Shakes Up Kamloops in Sweeping Joint Operation”

In a recent collaboration in Kamloops, a significant amount of drugs and weapons were confiscated by police. The Kamloops RCMP and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) joined forces to conduct educational programs and targeted enforcement actions.

Over the course of three days in September, multiple individuals were apprehended for possession with intent to sell drugs. Additionally, a substantial seizure of illicit substances and weaponry was a key outcome of the joint operation.

The seized items included a variety of drugs and firearms. The UGET also facilitated the Proactive Interdiction and Enforcement Tactics (PIET) workshop for the Kamloops RCMP, assisting them in detecting, investigating, and disrupting gang-related and organized criminal activities within their neighborhoods.

These workshops, part of an ongoing effort, are being introduced to law enforcement agencies throughout the province of British Columbia.
