“Ex-ISIS Bride Admits to Terror Charges in Dramatic Courtroom Confession in British Columbia”

A Canadian woman from British Columbia, who previously married an Islamic State fighter, has entered a guilty plea in a Vancouver court on charges related to terrorism.

Kimberly Polman, as confirmed by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, admitted to the offense of leaving the country to engage in activities linked to a terrorist organization, specifically the Islamic State.

Having spent years detained in a Syrian camp, Polman returned to Canada in 2022 under poor health conditions, battling hepatitis and grappling with post-traumatic stress and other difficulties, as revealed by her anonymous sister in a 2021 interview.

According to her sister, Polman had met and wed an Islamic State member online, only to later separate from him and renounce the group.

The commencement of Polman’s trial for the two charges was scheduled for Nov. 9, with a sentencing date yet to be determined.
