Two elderly individuals are in critical condition after a serious collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Scarborough.
According to Toronto police, the accident took place just before 10 p.m. on Lawrence Avenue East close to Scarborough Golf Club Road, where two vehicles collided.
Paramedics informed CityNews that an elderly man and woman were rushed to a trauma center. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other individual’s condition was deemed critical. The specific ages of the elderly pair were not immediately disclosed.
Additionally, another adult male was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Interestingly, one of the vehicle drivers declined medical treatment from paramedics at the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash and working to determine the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
