Toronto authorities seek two individuals linked to a significant theft and fraud case in the city’s vibrant Entertainment District, involving over $500,000.

According to reports, in the early hours of September 4, a suspicious vehicle stopped at a business near King Street West and Blue Jays Way. A man emerged from the vehicle, entered the establishment, reportedly snatched a point-of-sale device, and swiftly fled the scene.

Following this incident, the individuals allegedly utilized the stolen point-of-sale device for fraudulent activities over the ensuing weeks, resulting in losses exceeding half a million dollars.

The primary suspect is described as a medium-built male, last seen sporting blue distressed jeans, a New York Yankees baseball cap, a dark hoodie, and white sneakers. However, there is currently no available description of the second suspect who was behind the wheel of a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan involved in the crime.

Authorities note distinctive features of the suspect vehicle including mismatched front and rear wheels, as well as a front plate cover possibly concealing the license plate information.
