High-Speed Horror: Racing Suspected as Two Motorcyclists Cling to Life After Bayview Avenue Crash

Two motorcyclists sustained severe injuries and were urgently taken to a trauma center following a suspected racing incident on Bayview Avenue in Toronto early on a Thursday morning.

According to Toronto police speaking to 680 NewsRadio, the collision occurred around 12:15 a.m. close to Bayview Avenue and Pottery Road in the Don Valley region.

Initial investigations suggest that both motorcycles were heading south on Bayview Avenue at a considerable speed, resulting in the riders losing control and crashing.

Emergency responders quickly transported the two injured riders to a trauma center due to the severity of their injuries.

The crash led to the closure of Bayview Avenue at Pottery Road as authorities examined the scene. Officials anticipated reopening the roadway before the start of the morning rush hour.

As of now, the police have not disclosed the identities or ages of the riders, and the circumstances that led to the crash are still being looked into.

This latest incident follows a fatal motorcycle crash in the same area just under five months ago. On May 26, a motorcyclist tragically passed away after losing control near Bayview Avenue and Pottery Road. Reports indicated that the motorcyclist was involved in a race with a group when the collision with another vehicle occurred, resulting in the fatal outcome.

Individuals with any information regarding the Thursday collision are urged to reach out to the Toronto police.
