Montreal in Crisis: Municipal Elections Jeopardized by Alarming Staff Shortage

With the upcoming municipal elections in Montreal on Nov. 2, there is a pressing need for workers to fill various roles at polling stations.

Montreal requires around 13,000 individuals to support the smooth running of the municipal elections.

These elections will take place not only in Montreal but across all municipalities in Quebec. Montreal alone has over 450 polling stations, highlighting the vast requirement for workers.

Élections Montréal is actively seeking individuals to join their team for the election process.

Advance voting is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., while the official voting day is on Sunday, Nov. 2, running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Prospective election workers will undergo essential theoretical training, which includes an informative video and workshops that are conveniently available online.
