“Oakville Archery Coach Arrested Amid Shocking Sexual Assault Allegations”

Halton police have apprehended a 69-year-old archery instructor from Oakville in connection with a sexual assault case involving a youth at a training facility in Oakville.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) disclosed that Robert Lapier, a resident of Oakville, was arrested on Oct. 18. He is facing charges related to sexual assault and sexual interference.

The alleged incidents took place at Silver Sword Armories on Burnhamthorpe Road East in Oakville, where Lapier was employed as an archery instructor. The victim is reported to be a young female who was receiving lessons at the facility.

Lapier remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Milton.

Investigators suspect that there might be more victims and are encouraging individuals with information or who have been affected by the accused to step forward.
