Santé Québec Launches New Public Healthcare Dashboard
Aiming to enhance transparency and accountability in Quebec’s healthcare system, Santé Québec has unveiled a user-friendly online dashboard. This innovative platform offers 25 essential indicators for each healthcare facility, allowing citizens to easily track the system’s performance.
Distinct from the Ministry of Health and Social Services’ existing dashboard, this new tool is part of Santé Québec’s initiative to oversee the public healthcare network’s operations. With a color-coded system of “green,” “yellow,” or “red” statuses, individuals can quickly assess the health of each facility.
Quebec’s Health Minister, Christian Dubé, praised the dashboard’s release, emphasizing its role in fostering transparency and continuous improvement. Through this accessible resource, the public gains insights into crucial metrics like wait times and hospital bed occupancy, enhancing awareness and understanding of the healthcare system’s progress.
