Authorities Probe Potential Arson in Laval Blaze

An intense fire broke out at a home on Séguin Street in Laval’s Fabreville neighborhood early Saturday morning, causing significant damage to the front of the residence.

According to officials, several neighbors dialed 911 around 6:30 a.m. to report the blaze.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two vehicles ablaze near the garage entrance of the house. The flames had spread dangerously close to the roof and neighboring property.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident.

It was revealed that the smoke alarms in the house were not operational during the fire.

Laval police have taken over the case and are treating the circumstances surrounding the fire as suspicious. However, investigators did not find any evidence of incendiary devices at the scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
