The Quebec Liberal Party Mulls Legal Action Against PQ Leader Over Corruption Accusations
The Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) is contemplating legal action against PQ leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon for his allegations of corruption against Liberal governments.
Liberal MNA Marc Tanguay revealed on Tuesday that high-level discussions are ongoing within the PLQ to assess the situation.
Tanguay denounced the comments made by his PQ counterpart as defamatory, with fellow parliamentary leader Michelle Setlakwe emphasizing their inappropriateness.
Tanguay went further to assert that St-Pierre Plamondon’s actions suggest he is not suitable to lead Quebec as Premier.
Despite the backlash, the PQ leader remains steadfast, arguing that the Liberal Party’s tactics have fostered corrupt and self-serving administrations.
