Arrests Made in Disappearance of Langley Woman Missing Since Last Year

A tragic update in the case of missing Langley woman, Chantelle Moore, as a suspect has been charged with her homicide after she was last seen in October 2024.

Trenton Henneberg, a resident of Port Moody, was apprehended on Friday and now faces charges of second-degree murder and indignity to human remains in connection to the 30-year-old Moore’s death.

Moore’s family reported her missing on November 18, 2024, when they realized they had not heard from her for an unusual amount of time. Subsequently, on December 18, 2024, the case transitioned to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) due to suspicions of foul play surrounding her disappearance.

Collaborating closely with the Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS), IHIT meticulously pieced together a timeline of events leading up to Moore’s vanishing act. Through diligent efforts and assistance from the BC RCMP Tac Troop, searches were carried out across several locations in the province in a bid to locate Moore’s remains.

Investigators have indicated that Henneberg and Moore were acquainted, suggesting that the incident was not a random occurrence.

“This is the type of case that haunts us,” remarked Sgt. Freda Fong. “While the charges mark a significant step, there is much ahead in terms of the legal process. Our hearts go out to Chantelle’s parents, and we stand by them as the judicial proceedings unfold.”
