The Quebec government under Premier Legault has expressed disappointment over the infrastructure investments outlined in the federal budget presented on Wednesday. Finance Minister Eric Girard conveyed his concerns to federal counterpart François-Philippe Champagne during a morning meeting.
Premier Legault echoed these sentiments in the House, stating a desire for increased federal infrastructure investment. Despite this, he acknowledged and appreciated the substantial defense investments by Ottawa, expressing optimism that Quebec businesses would benefit from these opportunities.
