A concerned parent reached out to emergency services on November 25 after their child found the object lodged in a strawberry-shaped gummy, which had been in a partially open wrapper with a portion of the candy missing.
During their trick-or-treating rounds in the Champfleury neighborhood, specifically along De Chardonneret, Bouvreuil, De la Volière, Des Huards, Des Bécasseaux, and Du Passerin streets, the family encountered this alarming incident.
Authorities in Laval are advising the community to be vigilant and thoroughly inspect all Halloween treats before consuming them.
