A young woman sustained severe injuries in a solitary car accident that took place in the early hours in the western part of the city.
According to provincial authorities, the incident occurred on the southbound express lanes of Highway 27 close to Rathburn Road in Etobicoke at approximately 4 a.m.
The 27-year-old woman, who was the only person in the vehicle, was rushed to the hospital with injuries described by the police as life-changing.
The authorities are currently investigating the events leading up to the crash.
