The community is coming together to honor and remember the lives of five family members tragically lost in a house fire in Brampton. The funeral arrangements for Harinder Kaur, Gurjit Kaur Grewal, Bantvir Singh Deol, Anudeep Kaur, and a newborn baby boy have been set for Friday, December 5, at the Brampton Crematorium and Visitation Centre.
The heart-wrenching incident also left four other family members injured, with one member, Jugraj Singh, away on a business trip during this tragic event. In a heartfelt message on a GoFundMe page, Singh shared the devastation of losing his loved ones and expressed gratitude for his own safety.
The victims, which included Singh’s mother-in-law, sister-in-law, her two-year-old child, his wife’s cousin, and their unborn child who tragically did not survive, are remembered with deep sorrow by the community.
The fire, which took place on Banas Way, resulted in a total of five casualties, including the newborn baby who was delivered prematurely after the mother leapt to safety. The tragic loss has left the family shattered and the community mourning.
While the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, the community stands in solidarity with the surviving family members as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy.
