Ontario Man Charged with Stunt Driving and Impaired Operation
A 22-year-old man from Brampton is in hot water after allegedly zooming away from police at nearly double the speed limit while under the influence. The incident unfolded on Highway 410 southbound, near Queen Street, where officers caught the driver racing at 193 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. Shockingly, the man was also found to be impaired during the stop.
The Ontario Provincial Police have laid a total of 10 charges against the driver. These include offenses related to impaired driving, dangerous operation, as well as stunt driving and speeding violations. Consequently, the man’s vehicle has been impounded, and his driver’s license has been suspended.
In a stern warning, the police emphasized, “Impaired driving plus extreme speed equals a deadly combination. This reckless behavior endangers everyone on the road.”
