A tragic accident occurred on Sprott Street in Burnaby, resulting in a road closure in both directions on Friday.
Authorities from the Burnaby RCMP have closed off a section of Sprott Street between Norland Avenue and Kensington Avenue following the fatal crash that took place at 8 a.m. Although details are limited, it has been confirmed that there has been a loss of life.

Motorists are urged to steer clear of the affected area. Alternate routes for those heading towards Highway 1 include using Canada Way to Willingdon or opting for the northbound route around Burnaby Lake to Gaglardi Way via Lougheed Highway.
