A woman was urgently taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a collision with a vehicle in North York, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue East and Doris Avenue, close to Yonge Street, around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Law enforcement confirms that the driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
In response to the incident, the westbound lanes of Sheppard are currently shut down at Bonnington Place, and the southbound direction of Doris is inaccessible at Greenfield Avenue.
