Toronto has reclaimed its title as the “rattiest” city in Canada, according to Orkin Canada’s latest annual rankings. The pest control company’s 2025 report, based on rodent treatments between August 2024 and July 2025, solidified Toronto’s position as the country’s rodent capital.
Victoria was a close contender but ultimately landed behind Toronto, with Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond following closely in the top five cities with high rodent activity.
The latest list reveals that Ottawa and Moncton have reappeared in the top 10, indicating a concerning trend of rodent populations spreading to more areas across Canada. British Columbia cities notably dominated the rankings, with four out of the top five spots being claimed by cities from the province.
Orkin Canada’s provincial breakdown underscores the widespread nature of the rodent issue in the country, signaling a growing concern for residents.
As rodent activity continues to increase, Orkin Canada emphasizes the importance of taking preventive measures to deter rats and mice from infesting homes and properties.
