McCain Foods Ltd. is issuing a nationwide recall of certain tater tot products over concerns of potential plastic contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has identified the impacted items as McCain Tasti Taters and Crispy Potato Bites, available in 800 g and 1.8 kg packages.
This recall has been classified as Class II by CFIA, indicating a moderate risk level where consuming the affected products could result in short-term or non-life-threatening health issues.
As of now, there have been no reports of any injuries related to this issue.
