McCain Foods Ltd. is issuing a nationwide recall of certain tater tot products as a precaution against potential plastic contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has identified the affected items as McCain Tasti Taters and Crispy Potato Bites sold in 800 g and 1.8 kg packages.
Described as a Class II recall by CFIA, this indicates a moderate risk where consuming the products could result in short-term or non-life-threatening health issues.
At present, there are no confirmed reports of any injuries linked to these products.
