Vancouver Police Arrest Suspect in Downtown Eastside Murder Case
A 33-year-old suspect has been apprehended by the Vancouver Police Department for the alleged murder of a man in the Downtown Eastside neighborhood last month.
The arrest took place on a Sunday evening in the vicinity of Main Street and Terminal Avenue, with the suspect now facing charges of second-degree murder. He is currently in custody awaiting the commencement of his trial.
The victim, identified as 45-year-old Mark Andrew Roasa, was reportedly assaulted by an unknown individual near Gore Avenue and Powell Street at approximately 3 a.m. on November 28. The exact time of the victim’s passing has not been disclosed by authorities.
This tragic incident marks the 26th homicide in Vancouver for the year 2025.
