A senior woman was severely injured in a morning accident in Scarborough when she was hit by a vehicle.
The incident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Homestead Road and Coronation Drive, close to the junction of Morningside Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East.
According to Toronto Paramedic Services, the elderly woman sustained critical injuries in the collision.
Toronto police have stated that the driver involved stayed at the site, and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Coronation Drive has been shut down from Shoreview Drive to Homestead Road, with motorists advised to seek alternate routes.
