Toronto authorities have apprehended and formally charged three men in connection with a string of car break-ins and vandalism incidents in the Eglinton East neighborhood of Scarborough.
Reports flooded in during October of vandalized car windows and stolen belongings, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement in mid-November. This probe ultimately led to the arrest of the trio believed to be responsible for the spree.
The suspects are accused of causing damage to numerous vehicles and pilfering items from within over the course of October and November.
Clifford Long, a 47-year-old from Toronto, faces charges including 13 counts of mischief under $5,000 and two counts of violating a probation order. He is set to make a court appearance on Jan. 14, 2026.
Ronald Hulme, aged 40 and also from Toronto, is charged with 13 counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of possessing property obtained through crime under $5,000, as well as other offenses. His court date is scheduled for Dec. 19.
Meanwhile, Albert Redcliffe, 48, also from Toronto, has been charged with theft, mischief, attempted theft, and failing to comply with probation terms. He made his court appearance on Dec. 10.
Authorities suspect that there may be more victims within the area surrounded by Lawrence Avenue East, Brimley Road, Kingston Road, and Markham Road.
