“Early-Morning Blaze in St-Leonard Leads to Dramatic Double Arrest for Arson”

Montreal police apprehend two suspects in connection with an early-morning fire at a commercial property in St-Leonard, leading to a swift arrest.

Responding to a call at 4:10 a.m., firefighters rushed to the location on Metropolitan Blvd. amidst reports of a fire at a building situated between Louis-Vanier and Aimé-Renaud streets. The fire was promptly contained by the fire department.

Authorities revealed that the culprits allegedly smashed a window and threw an incendiary device into the building. Subsequently, law enforcement detained two males, aged 17 and 18, shortly after the incident. They were taken into custody for further questioning.

Fortunately, no injuries were sustained, and the damages are categorized as minor.

The investigation into the case is now in the hands of Montreal’s arson unit.
