“Collingwood Residents on Alert: Boil Water Advisory Issued Following Major Watermain Break”

Residents of Collingwood are urged to conserve water and use bottled water as a boil water advisory continues in the town. The advisory was put in place after a water main break near Pretty River Parkway and Hume Street. The repairs were completed early Saturday morning, and water samples have been sent for testing to ensure safety.

Officials warn that the results may not be available until after the weekend, and the advisory could last up to five days. Due to significant water loss, residents are asked to limit their water usage.

Restaurants and food services in the affected area are temporarily closed. To assist residents, the town has set up two stations for distributing bottled water at Central Park Arena and the Royal Canadian Legion, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
