Halton Regional Police have apprehended and formally accused a massage therapist in Burlington in connection with a sexual assault probe.
The incident took place at the “Be Pampered Spa” situated at 700 Guelph Line in Burlington, as per reports from investigators. A woman reported being sexually assaulted during a recent massage appointment.
On December 15, Li Ming Qu, 69, hailing from Toronto and commonly known as “Leslie,” was taken into custody by the police. He faces one charge of sexual assault and remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Milton.
It has been disclosed by the authorities that Qu is employed at two “Be Pampered Spa” outlets in Burlington, one of which is where the alleged assault occurred. The police are encouraging individuals who have interacted with Qu at either site to step forward.
Investigators suspect there could be more victims involved in the case. A photograph of the accused has been made public.
