The North Vancouver RCMP is currently looking into a robbery incident that took place involving a victim being pursued by an individual armed with a knife.
According to authorities, the victim was targeted by an unknown person at the intersection of Fell Avenue and Marine Drive at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Cpl. Mansoor Sahak of the RCMP shared, “Preliminary information suggests that the victim was standing at that location when the assailant approached them, brandishing a knife and demanding their phone.”
Allegedly, the victim resisted and was subsequently chased by the knife-wielding suspect. The suspect managed to flee the scene but was apprehended shortly afterward by law enforcement and is now confronting robbery charges.
Police are also indicating the possibility of another victim who has yet to come forward to provide information to the authorities.
