Police in Burnaby are asking for the public’s help in an investigation following a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Friday morning.
According to BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), the incident occurred close to the intersection of Kingsway and Elgin Avenue at around 1:45 a.m. Paramedics administered immediate medical assistance to the injured pedestrian before transporting them to the hospital in serious condition, as reported by Brian Twaites from BCEHS.
The driver involved in the collision stayed at the scene and is currently cooperating with the Burnaby RCMP.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses dashcam footage to contact 604-646-9999 with any information that could aid in the investigation.
