Toronto authorities are on the scene of a traffic incident involving a car and a TTC streetcar.
The collision occurred early Sunday morning in the heart of downtown, specifically at the junction of Bay Street and Richmond Street West.
According to police, the impact caused the streetcar to derail, though thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
To ensure safety and manage the situation, nearby roads have been temporarily closed for response teams.
Due to the incident, the TTC has announced that its westbound 501 streetcars will be redirected along Church Street, King Street West, and Spadina Avenue.
Additionally, the northbound and southbound 19 bus will be taking an alternate route via Adelaide Street West, Church Street, and Dundas Street West.
