A tragic incident unfolded in Surrey on Sunday night as a recreational vehicle (RV) was engulfed in flames, resulting in the loss of two lives. The Surrey Police Service received a distress call from Surrey Fire Services about the fire on 102 Avenue near 122 Street in the city’s north end at around 9 p.m.
The intense blaze not only consumed the RV but also led to the evacuation of a nearby residence. Fortunately, the occupants of the neighboring house escaped unharmed. Tragically, two individuals, identified as a male and a female, were discovered deceased inside the RV.
Images captured at the scene depict a burnt RV parked in the driveway of a standalone house, painting a grim picture of the harrowing incident. Surrey Police Service’s media liaison, Ian MacDonald, confirmed the identities of the victims and stated that the investigation into the matter is ongoing as of Monday morning.
For those who may have pertinent information regarding the fire, the SPS has urged them to reach out by dialing 604-599-0502 and referencing file 25-113610 (SP).
As details continue to emerge, this remains a developing story with updates forthcoming.
