Due to adverse weather conditions, BC Ferries has called off multiple sailings to and from Vancouver Island on Monday. The cancellations come as Environment and Climate Change Canada issued warnings for strong winds in the areas encompassing the Straight of Georgia and the southern tip of the Lower Mainland, including Tsawwassen.
Affected by the cancellations are all sailings between the two Vancouver-area terminals – Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen, as well as Nanaimo’s Departure Bay and Duke Point terminals, and Victoria’s Swartz Bay. Services are expected to resume as late as 6:20 p.m.
For a detailed list of the impacted routes, visit the BC Ferries’ official website. The company assures that its customer service team will reach out to individuals with prior bookings to provide necessary updates.
