Elderly Woman Fatally Struck in East Vancouver Hit-and-Run, Police Seek Driver

Authorities in East Vancouver are currently looking into a tragic incident where an 81-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on Monday morning. The collision occurred near the intersection of Rupert Street and Euclid Avenue, prompting an urgent response from BC Emergency Health Services.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, the victim, identified as a woman, succumbed to her injuries at the scene before she could be taken to the hospital. The driver responsible for the collision reportedly fled the scene, with the vehicle, a dark grey Volkswagen Golf from the 1990s or 2000s, last seen heading north on Rupert Street.
