Gilles Sauve Jr. shared on Facebook the heartbreaking news that his sister Christine Sauvé and her husband Alain Noël passed away in their sleep on the night of December 25th.

Sauve Jr. expressed the family’s need for privacy during this difficult time, stating, “We will not be available for questions as we navigate through our sorrow and await more details to share with you.”

Global Affairs Canada (GAC) confirmed the deaths of two Canadian citizens in the Dominican Republic, offering their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
