“Canadian Woman Faces Charges for Illegally Crossing U.S. Border and Assaulting Agent with a Kick to the Face”

A woman from Canada is facing charges in the United States for an altercation at the Washington state border where she allegedly kicked a border agent in the face.

The accused is charged with assault on a federal officer and improper entry following the incident that occurred on Tuesday.

According to U.S. district court documents, the FBI claims the woman was turned away at the Peace Arch border crossing near Surrey, B.C., due to possessing a marijuana vape pen.

Subsequently, she was seen crossing a buffer zone at Peace Arch State Park, a shared area for people from both countries to meet, where she engaged in a confrontation with border agents.

Witnesses reported that she used foul language, resisted arrest, and kicked a female supervisor in the face during the incident.

The woman allegedly stated to investigators that she was simply trying to meet her fiancé to pick up their dog and did not intend to harm anyone.

She is scheduled to appear in court later this month for further proceedings.
