A violent incident unfolded near The Junction on Monday afternoon resulting in a woman being wounded and a man taken into custody.
Authorities in Toronto swiftly responded to a stabbing incident at Dundas St. West and Jerome Street, just south of Dupont Street at approximately 3 p.m.
The injured woman was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening wounds.
A male suspect has been apprehended by law enforcement in connection with the incident.
