Rising Star Collin Murray-Boyles Dazzles in Raptors’ Dominant 118-100 Victory Over Hawks

In an impressive display during his rookie season, Centre Collin Murray-Boyles shone with 17 points as the Toronto Raptors triumphed over the Atlanta Hawks with a final score of 118-100 on Monday. Murray-Boyles also showcased his versatility with seven rebounds and seven assists, stepping up in the absence of injured starter Jakob Poeltl.

Scottie Barnes delivered a stellar performance, securing a double-double with 18 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds, contributing significantly to the Raptors’ back-to-back victories against the Hawks.

Brandon Ingram added 19 points and nine rebounds to the scoreboard, as Toronto showcased a balanced offensive effort with seven players reaching double digits in scoring.

Despite Poeltl’s absence due to a lower back injury, Raptors’ head coach Darko Rajakovic confirmed pre-game that the starting centre has been given the green light for contact.

On the opposing side, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu both recorded double-doubles for the Atlanta Hawks. Johnson tallied 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Okongwu scored 17 points and grabbed 12 boards. Kristaps Porzingis also made a return to the Hawks’ lineup, contributing nine points in 20 minutes off the bench.

Meanwhile, star guard Trae Young remained sidelined as he continues to recover from a right quadriceps contusion.

The Raptors dominated the paint, outscoring the Hawks 64-44, while shooting an impressive 52.2% from the field (47-for-90).

Looking ahead, Toronto will face the Charlotte Hornets in their next game on Wednesday.
