“Second Drive-By Shooting Strikes Same Richmond Hill Home in Two Months, Police Investigate Rising Violence”

Authorities in Richmond Hill are currently conducting an investigation following a drive-by shooting that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident took place on Bryson Drive, with multiple gunshots being fired at a residence, as well as a car parked in the driveway. Fortunately, no one was present inside the home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

According to Staff Sgt. Peter Cheung, the perpetrators remained in their vehicle during the shooting. It is believed that at least two individuals were involved in the incident, fleeing the scene in a grey Honda SUV. No detailed descriptions of the suspects have been provided.

This particular home was previously targeted in a similar drive-by shooting back in November 2025, which resulted in property damage but no injuries. No arrests have been made in connection to the earlier incident, prompting investigators to look into any potential links between the two shootings.

Sgt. Cheung has indicated that initial findings point towards the shooting being a targeted attack, with no immediate threat to public safety being identified.

Individuals with any relevant information or surveillance footage are encouraged to reach out to the York Regional Police.
