Longueuil Police Launch Urgent Search for Child Abuse Victims: Community Alert

Longueuil authorities are seeking public assistance in a case involving child exploitation and potential sexual crimes across Greater Montreal.

The investigation by Longueuil police (SPAL) pertains to incidents between 2020 and December 6, 2026, with indications of around 30 victims being involved.

Stéphane Croteau, a 58-year-old suspect, has been apprehended and faces 17 charges linked to sexual misconduct, particularly with minors.

According to SPAL’s statement, the charges against Croteau encompass grave offenses such as child pornography production, possession of exploitative content, engaging sexual services for payment, sexual assault, and intrusion.

Several victims have already been identified with the assistance of provincial law enforcement.

It is alleged that Croteau targeted victims through online dating platforms like sugardaddy.com and secretbenefits.com, using the alias “Padadamour.” Some victims were reportedly filmed without their consent.

SPAL authorities suspect that Croteau may have committed additional sexual crimes against other victims, both within the Longueuil region and elsewhere in the broader Montreal area. There are reports of him approaching a young girl in a store in the agglomeration and near a school.

Individuals with any information concerning Croteau are urged to reach out to the SPAL investigation division at (450) 463-7211, with the assurance of complete confidentiality.
