Toronto Duo Slapped with Multiple Charges in Dramatic Drug and Firearms Sweep

Toronto police announced that a man and a woman are now in custody, facing multiple charges following a significant drug and weapon seizure. According to authorities, an investigation led to the discovery of a firearm, along with substantial quantities of crystal meth, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Law enforcement revealed that their probe uncovered one of the individuals engaging in drug trafficking activities across the city, leading to the authorization of search warrants for both a residence and a vehicle.

On January 6, 2026, officers executed the search warrants and reportedly confiscated a Glock 27 Gen 4 sub-compact semiautomatic firearm, along with a magazine filled with 9 rounds of .45 calibre ammunition.

The search also resulted in the discovery of 1640 grams of methamphetamine, 680 grams of fentanyl, 605 grams of cocaine, and a sum exceeding $7,000 in Canadian currency. Additionally, drug packaging materials and digital scales were seized during the operation.

Facing a range of charges related to drugs and weapons, the accused, 29-year-old Chance Jeffers and 26-year-old Hope Kinsman, both residents of Toronto, are now awaiting legal proceedings.
