Toronto Braces for High Winds and Near Record Temperatures
Toronto is on high alert as Environment Canada issues a special weather statement warning of powerful winds sweeping through the region. Wind gusts of up to 90 km/h are anticipated on Friday morning before gradually subsiding later in the day.
In addition to the gusty conditions, showers and even thunderstorms are forecasted to arrive in the area, posing a risk of generating strong wind gusts ranging from 70 to 80 km/h.
Adding to the excitement, Toronto could potentially experience near record-breaking temperatures today, with a high of 12°C expected. The current record stands at 11.6°C, established in 2008.
