21-Year-Old Charged in Tragic B.C. Crash That Left Two Dead

A 21-year-old man is facing serious charges following a tragic accident in 2024 that claimed the lives of two individuals, including a 15-year-old boy.

Authorities from the BC Highway Patrol have formally charged the man, a resident of Fort St. John, with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, in addition to two counts of impaired driving causing death.

The fatal collision occurred on April 7, 2024, on Highway 97 near Chetwynd in the northeastern region of British Columbia. According to law enforcement, two vehicles were involved in the incident, resulting in the deaths of a 19-year-old man from Dawson Creek and the teenage boy from Chetwynd. Tragically, both victims lost their lives at the crash site.

Due to the active legal proceedings, authorities have refrained from disclosing further information at this time.

The accused individual is scheduled to make his next court appearance on January 27 at the Dawson Creek courthouse.
