The women’s rugby team at McGill University is facing a tough battle to keep their 50-year legacy alive after being cut from the university’s athletics department last year. Despite this setback, the team is determined to persevere and maintain their competitive spirit.
Led by student-athletes like Alicia Gilmour and Kipling Szasz, the team has launched an online fundraising campaign to secure funding for the upcoming seasons. Their goal is not only to reinstate their varsity status but also to continue playing and growing as a club if necessary.
