Toronto Commuters Face Delays on Gardiner Expressway Due to Multi-Vehicle Collision
Traffic in Toronto has come to a standstill on the Gardiner Expressway following a multi-vehicle crash this Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, a collision involving several vehicles took place in the Lower Jarvis Street and Lake Shore Boulevard East vicinity around 8:40 a.m.
Emergency responders have confirmed that approximately nine vehicles were part of the incident, fortunately with no reported injuries.
As a result of the crash, the eastbound Gardiner ramp to Jarvis, the left lane westbound on Lake Shore at Jarvis, and the right lane southbound Jarvis at Lake Shore have been shut down.
At present, the extent of injuries remains unclear, prompting drivers to seek alternative routes to avoid the affected areas.
The cause behind the collision remains under investigation.
