Experience a Unique Filipino-Inspired Mobile Coffee Shop in Vancouver
Bringing a touch of the Philippines to the streets of Vancouver is a mobile coffee shop like no other. Philip Generoso, the mastermind behind this innovative concept, serves up coffee to customers from a tricycle—a common sight in his homeland.
Generoso’s inspiration stems from his childhood memories of the bustling tricycles in the Philippines. “I’ve spent many vacations there and always marveled at these vehicles,” he shared.
Drawing on his welding skills, Generoso custom-designed his tricycle to navigate Vancouver’s urban landscape efficiently. “I fabricated a personalized sidecar that matches my motorcycle, ensuring we can keep up with traffic without a hitch,” he explained.
Despite the challenges of obtaining permits for such a unique venture, Generoso persevered. “We had to figure it out as we went along, securing the necessary permits for health and operation,” he noted.
As a former barista, Generoso aims to offer tailored coffee experiences to Vancouverites, especially those with hectic schedules. Their signature “bikerccino,” a delectable blend of ice cream and espresso, is a must-try.
“We’re not just serving coffee; we’re showcasing our culture and creativity to the city,” Generoso expressed. “Being Filipino-Canadian, I want to blend the best of both worlds in our offerings.”
