A portion of Line 6 Finch West has been closed by the TTC this morning, causing delays along the rest of the route due to mechanical difficulties.
According to the transit authority, there is no service operating between Tobermory and Finch West stations because of a mechanical problem at Sentinal. While the line is operational from Finch West to Humber College, passengers should expect delays caused by another mechanical issue at Mount Olive.
To address the disruptions, the TTC has deployed shuttle buses to assist commuters.
These recent challenges are just the latest in a series of obstacles faced by Line 6 since its launch in December. The new line has faced numerous setbacks including weather-related interruptions, switch malfunctions, and mechanical failures during its initial weeks of service.
The line also faced closures last week due to adverse weather conditions.
