Toronto Poker Pro Faces Sexual Assault Charges, Police Confirm

A prominent poker player in Toronto, Daniel Kwon, 39, has been arrested on serious charges, including sexual assault, following an event he hosted where he allegedly assaulted someone he met there.

The incident took place near Wellington and Simcoe streets in Toronto, with reports of a sexual assault prompting immediate police intervention.

According to authorities, the victim met the accused at an event organized by Kwon himself, where the alleged assault occurred.

Toronto Police Service has announced Kwon’s arrest in connection with a Sexual Assault investigation, with a search warrant being executed at his Toronto residence on Monday.

Kwon faces multiple charges, including forcible confinement, sexual assault, sexual assault involving choking, possession of controlled substances for trafficking, and possession of crime proceeds exceeding $5,000.

Investigations are ongoing, with concerns raised about the possibility of additional victims coming forward.

Kwon was due to appear in court on Monday to face the charges.
