Toronto authorities apprehend a 38-year-old individual in connection with a recent sexual assault in the city’s west side. The incident took place last week when a woman at a bus stop on Kipling Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West was allegedly assaulted by the man as she waited for her ride.
The event unfolded around 4 p.m. on Jan. 16, with a bystander stepping in to thwart the assault, leading the culprit to flee the scene. After a swift investigation, officers identified and detained Terrance James Noonan, 38, from Toronto on Jan. 20. He faces charges of sexual assault and failure to appear in court.
Noonan was set to have his day in court on Jan. 21, while authorities have expressed concern that there might be other unreported victims. An image of the suspect has been released to aid in potential further identifications.
