Subway Shutdown: Line 1 Service Suspended Between King and Osgoode

Subway Service Disrupted Between King and Osgoode Stations in Toronto
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has announced that subway service on Line 1 is currently suspended between King and Osgoode stations due to an injury on the tracks.

Commuters are advised to consider using streetcar routes for travel between the University side and Yonge side of Line 1/Yonge-University, according to a statement released by the TTC on Friday morning.

Initially, the disruption was limited to the stretch between College and Osgoode stations. However, the TTC later updated that the service suspension now extends from King to Osgoode stations.

The exact location and the anticipated duration of the disruption remain unknown at this time.

In addition to the subway closure, the TTC has reported that the 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina streetcar routes are bypassing the Union Station streetcar platform due to an incident at track level. Toronto Police have halted northbound subway trains at Union Station for a separate investigation, as per their announcement on X.

At this point, it is unclear if these incidents are connected.
